Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. These includes treatment of different conditions such as:
- Deep overbite
- Open bite
- Overjet, or upper protruding teeth
- Spaces between teeth
There are a number of reasons why a tooth may need to be removed:
- Severe decay
- Advanced periodontal (gum) disease
- Preparation for orthodontics
- Tooth structure broken beyond repair
- Poor positioning (such as impacted wisdom teeth)
ClearCorrect is the clear and simple alternative to braces.
It’s a series of clear, custom-made, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth as you wear them. Ask your doctor for more information on how ClearCorrect can help you get the smile you’ve always wanted.
You deserve a smile you can be proud of, and ClearCorrect can make it happen. Our clear aligners are comfortable, removable, and, best of all, nearly invisible. Most people won’t even notice that you’re wearing them. And because you can easily remove the aligners to eat, you don’t have to change your diet like you might with braces. You can show off your smile with almost no impact on your daily life. Some severe cases of misalignment do require metal braces, but most patients can be treated just as effectively with clear aligners. The cost and length of treatment are generally comparable. Why wouldn’t you choose ClearCorrect?
How does it work?
Your doctor will take impressions, x-rays, and photos of your teeth, then send them to us with instructions for the tooth movements you need to achieve your ideal smile. We’ll create a 3D model of your mouth and then a series of clear plastic aligners custom-fitted to your teeth. Each aligner will apply targeted pressure to the teeth selected by your doctor, slowly moving them into alignment. Every six weeks or so, your doctor will check on your progress and give you your next two sets of aligners. Unlike other clear aligner companies, we manufacture your aligners in phases, so your doctor can request changes at any time. Treatment usually takes 6–18 months, but you’ll start to see results right away.
What can it do?
ClearCorrect can treat a wide variety of issues that keep people from achieving their ideal smiles. Straighter teeth don’t just look better; they work better too. Poorly-aligned teeth can interfere with bite function, wear out quicker, and are more prone to cavities.
Ask your doctor how ClearCorrect can help you!
As the name implies, Six Month Smiles is an orthodontic treatment that is completed in an average of 6 months. Ryan Swain, DMD, founder of Six Month Smiles, explains the system:
“Six Month Smiles is a cosmetic orthodontic treatment that is an alternative for adults who are not interested in traditional comprehensive orthodontics and who aren’t good candidates for veneers. The goal of treatment is to greatly improve the smile by increasing symmetry, alignment, and the overall position of the teeth.”
How does Six Month Smiles work?
Six Month Smiles is a combination of time-tested orthodontic techniques that have been put together in a new and exciting way. A key ingredient of the Six Month Braces procedure is the use of high-tech wires. These wires exert light continuous force to gently move the teeth to the desired position. Tooth colored brackets and wires make our braces less noticeable and more esthetic.
My teeth are all crowded together. Will Six Month Smiles work on me?
The most common chief complaint of patients seeking orthodontic treatment is crowding. Crowded teeth are treated very well with Six Month Smiles. Most people with crowded teeth have large teeth in a small jaw. In many cases simply rounding out and developing the constricted arch will give you enough room to straighten the crowded teeth.
Some more severe crowding situations will require gentle polishing between the teeth. It is a very conservative way to help alleviate crowding, is painless, and does not increase the incidence of tooth decay or gum disease.
Will Six Month Smiles work on me if I have spaces, an overbite, or an underbite?
Six Month Smiles will work on almost any type of situation including open bites, deep bites, anterior crossbites, and teeth that need straightening prior to cosmetic bonding or porcelain veneer placement.
Do Six Month Smiles hurt more than regular braces or do they cause more damage than regular braces?
Six Month Smiles uses low forces over a short period of time allowing for a very comfortable treatment with a very low likelihood of damage to the roots of the teeth. The discomfort associated with tooth movement is no more and often less than conventional orthodontics.
