Fruit snacks are a popular choice of parents and children. They do not and should not take the place of fresh fruit (which we first would suggest). It would be best to remove them from our children’s diet. However, if you or your child choose these for a snack, along with other sugary and sticky foods, we recommend following with a slice of cheese or string cheese. It helps to remove the particles that get stuck in their teeth. Then follow up with brushing and flossing.
