Another year is coming to a close, so we wanted to remind everyone that if you have HSA or flex dollars remaining, there is only one month left to use them. Also, insurance companies that are on a calendar year plan will end December 31 and start over for the new year. These are your dollars to use, so don’t lose them!
We have had a few questions regarding “alternating benefits” recently. This is when there is a clause in your dental benefits that states composite (white) fillings on posterior (back) teeth will be paid at an amalgam (silver filling) rate, which means that the reimbursement is much less. Silver fillings are only done when the access is tough and only a silver filling can be done. If you have questions regarding this please give our office a call and we will do our best to get you answers to these questions.
