Tis’ the season for colds, which may come with a sinus infection. Sinus infections can make your teeth ache and make it confusing to figure out if you should see your dentist or physician. A couple of things to keep in mind in order to figure out whom to see is if you bend down and the pain worsens, it most likely is a sinus infection. If you can feel pressure/discomfort on both sides of your face, it too is mostly a sinus infection. If you are able to pin point the ache to a certain tooth or teeth it may be tooth-related. Also, if a tooth is more sensitive to temperatures than the rest of your teeth and causes a lingering ache, those would be reasons to visit your dentist. If you are unsure if you need to be seen, you can always give us a call and ask!
