How to Overcome Dental Anxiety

Dental anxiety is very common but with some simple techniques, you can overcome it and actually enjoy your trip to the dentist.  Oral hygiene is very important for everyone’s health!
 
TALK TO YOUR DENTIST OR HYGIENIST:  Make sure they are aware of your fears.  They will work with you to make your appointment as relaxing as possible.
 
PRACTICE BREATHING TECHNIQUES:  Controlled breathing relaxes your body and lets you focus on other things to pre-occupy your mind.  Three seconds breathe in, and three seconds breathe out.
 
USE RELAXATION TECHNIQUES:  Bring music with headphones with you to your appointment.
