You Should Floss More

Flossing is so important to your dental health.  It’s hard to get excited about flossing because we can’t always see all of the benefits we get from flossing.  Flossing removes about 40% of the sticky plaque or bacteria from your teeth.
Plaque generates acid, which can cause cavities and gum disease.
  Each tooth has five surfaces; if you don’t floss, you are leaving two surfaces unclean. Flossing is the only thing that can clean the space between the teeth and remove the bacteria. 

Flossing might also be considered a secret weapon in the fountain of youth.  Gum disease can ruin the youthful look of your smile by destroying the gums and teeth.  It also attacks the bones that support our teeth and lower jaw.  People who preserve the height of the jaw bone by flossing look younger as they age.
