Dr. Clause is originally from Moville, Iowa, and is a graduate of Morningside College and the University of Iowa´s College of Dentistry. After completing a year of General Practice Residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, he joined Dr. Gary Eichmeyer at the Lor Ray Drive Dental Group (now Commerce Drive Dental).
Dr. Clause and his wife, Carolyn, live near Mankato with their three children: Garrett, Cameron, and Caitlin.
His interests include Boy Scouts, golf, brass choir, water skiing, snow skiing, hunting, and coaching his children in their various sports.
Dr. Clause is a member of the

- American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Clause knew he wanted to be a dentist when he was still in elementary school. He loves helping people, and being a general dentist allows him to build long-term relationships with patients. One of his favorite things about dentistry is being able to combine his interests in both art and science.
