Commerce Drive Dental has four general family dentists who are all highly trained and licensed by the state of Minnesota. All dentists must meet the same national and regional certification standards in order to practice dentistry. They are doctors who specialize in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases and conditions of the mouth. According to the American Dental Association, their responsibilities include diagnosing oral diseases, promoting oral health and disease prevention, creating treatment plans to maintain or restore the oral health of their patients, interpreting x-rays and diagnostic tests, ensuring the safe administration of anesthetics, monitoring growth and development of the teeth and jaws, and performing surgical procedures on the teeth, bone, and soft tissues of the oral cavity.
