Being outside watching over the prairie 24/7 is a tough job and can be hard on me. That is why before my big Holiday Winter Wonderland Parade float ride for Bells on Belgrade on December 3, I needed to have a check-up! Just like the teeth in your mouth, I am on a regular recall schedule to make sure everything is working fine. First, Doctor David took me to a special office (like a dental office for massive teeth) which I really think is his heated garage! Then I was checked all over for things like holes (cavities), rotting boards (gingivitis), and interior issues (abscessed pulp). This year I had the start of both some rotting boards and internal water damage, so I had some extensive repairs to make me all healthy again. Next, Deb from the Commerce Drive Dental staff gave me a fresh coat of paint – just like when the hygienist polishes your teeth and puts on that fluoride varnish to make your teeth much stronger! Boy did I feel and look good afterward, ready to be put on the holiday float for the parade! That was my favorite part, wearing my Santa hat and showing off my pearly white smile to all those friendly people lining Belgrade Avenue in North Mankato. I just wish the parade route was longer! |
Happy Holidays 2016,
Chip
